| Sustainability Committee The Sustainability Committee will also discuss and promote Integrated Resources Management (IRM), an innovative approach to addressing issues surrounding environments and urban design. It involves evaluating projects and working collaboratively with different decision makers and stakeholders to better understand their goals and provide a sustainable approach to all final decisions. Committee members will stay current on emerging technologies and trends that could impact land use in the San Diego region. They will coordinate an Integrated Resource Management Symposium in 2008, bringing together experts to identify practices that promote inter-municipality sustainability. |

Sustainability is the act of balancing the environmental, social, and economic needs of the built and natural environments for present and future generations.
The Sustainability Committee will research, evaluate, and distribute information regarding environmental issues (e.g. global warming, water supply/conservation, energy, CO2) and sustainable practices.
