      With the "R" word - recession - looming over the local and national economy, it could be more difficult for developers to focus on costly new initiatives, but interest in green building continues to rise.
      Between panels on sustainable-development issues during the Urban Land Institute San Diego/Tijuana chapter's annual Real Estate Trends conference on Nov. 13 at the Hilton Torrey Pines in San Diego , economists said the chances of a recession next year are rising.
