TAPs and ULI @ Lunch are Newest Programs to Launch This Summer

The ULI San Diego/Tijuana District Council is launching two new programs in August to help find solutions for local real estate concerns and to grow the expertise of our members.

TAPs, short for Technical Advisory Panels, was created to help public agencies and nonprofit organizations obtain advice on complex land use and real estate issues. A panel of professionals chosen from ULI's membership will provide advice across a wide range of topics including growth, planning, finance and development.

Volunteers, ranging from architects and engineers to developers, lawyers and bankers, are selected by ULI specifically for each assignment that runs from one to two days. ULI charges a variable fee to cover expenses and part of that cost may be covered by grants to qualifying organizations. To be considered for a TAP, please visit www.sandiego.uli.org/news/24.

ULI @ Lunch kicks off August 22 with "LEED Standards and Certification" hosted by Opus West at the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce Board Room. The series is designed to be highly educational and more interactive than monthly breakfast meetings. Attendees get detailed instruction and engage in a thorough discussion while lunch is served.

Other scheduled topics include "Affordable Rental Housing," "Storm Water," and "Xeriscape Landscape." This special series is available to members only and will be limited to approximately 30 attendees.
