Young Leaders

Over 80 people joined the Young Leaders' group on the morning of Saturday, July 14 for a three-and-half hour walking tour of downtown San Diego. Highlights included the Broadway Navy Complex, the Ballpark District and Smart Corner (1080 Park Blvd.), all projects that exemplify successful public/private joint ventures. Led by Janice Weinrick of the city's Redevelopment Agency and Lin Martin with Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial, participants learned about the city's history from the ground up. Tour organizer John La Raia said the group discussed what it takes for the city, government and private developers to work together for a successful outcome. With over 350 members, Young Leaders offers several events throughout the year including networking socials and Roundtable Forums featuring a real estate industry leader.
