Sudberry Properties

Founded in 1979 Sudberry Properties, Inc. is a leading San Diego-based real estate development and asset management firm specializing in quality shopping center projects, office and industrial parks and mixed-use urban communities. The only San Diego developer to be featured in publications of the Congress for the New Urbanism and National Trust for Historic Preservation, the company has become one of the leading retail and urban community developers in Southern California.

Sudberry Properties has been selected to develop the town center components in many of the county's premiere master planned communities, earning a reputation for high-quality centers that combine striking landscaping, unique water features, grand outdoor fireplaces, shade areas, music and public artwork. Major retail uses such as supermarkets, drugstores, home improvement centers and department stores anchor the majority of the company's retail projects. Sudberry Properties' mixed-use, office and industrial development projects are designed to provide optimum working environments that incorporate the principles of urban and sustainable design.

Notable recent projects include Eastlake Village Marketplace a $120 million, 410,000-square-foot community retail center that serves as the gateway and town center hub for San Diego's Eastlake community and its residents. Sudberry Properties also developed Fenton Marketplace, a 560,000-square-foot shopping center in Mission Valley, anchored by Costco, Lowe's, and IKEA, and successfully merged the "big box" user concept with that of an urban village.

Sudberry recently finished work on Village Walk at Eastlake, a new 162,000-square-foot upscale specialty retail development located in the master-planned community of EastLake in Chula Vista, Calif. Village Walk boasts such tenants as Borders Books, Henry's Marketplace, PETCO, Pier One and Trader Joe's.

Choosing to develop and manage properties of exceptional quality and location, Sudberry Properties creates projects of enduring value. The company retains the very best consulting teams and is committed to a long-term investment mentality. To accomplish these goals, the team is supported by an ethic of personal service to satisfy business associates and to ensure the company's position as a premier mixed-use, town center, office and industrial project developer.
