ULI San Diego/Tijuana 4th Annual Smart Growth Awards

Projects, plans, policies, leaders, and even events and intitiatives in the field of Smart Growth and Sustainability are evaluated for their response to ULI's Smart Growth Principles. Nominees for the award may be submitted under one of the following categories:

I. Smart Growth Project
Any public, private or non-profit development project. Includes individual or mix of residential, commercial and industrial uses, capital transportation facilities or open space projects.

II. Smart Growth Plan/Policy
Comprehensive plans, regional plans, visions, open space and environmental studies, policies, transportation plans, master plans, urban design plans, codes and specific area plans.

III. Smart Growth Visionary
Architects, civic institutions (representatives thereof), civil engineers, developers, landscape architects, non-profits, planners, politicians, project owners, or urban designers.

IV. Other
Not every nominee may fit neatly into one of the above categories. If you think it's exceptional, we want to hear about it. The jury reserves the ability to create additional award categories as needed to ensure that exceptional nominees will be recognized for their contributions.
